Spurs have held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) and have made some changes in senior positions to take the club forward into a new era. After 5 years as Club President, Paul Hampshire has stepped down and will be replaced by former Chairman Bob Taylor. Bryan Sheppard, who joined the Spurs committee last season as Chair of the Executive committee, will take over as Club Chairman. Paul Hampshire is to take a more active role in the commercial side of the club, working with manager Neil Baker and his team to move the club forward in their strive for promotion next season. Paul Hampshire is relishing the opportunity to become more involved with ground improvements and the playing side of things.
Bob Taylor has been with Spurs for over 30 years holding various posts and is a natural choice to take over as President and Sheppard will add the drive and enthusiasm with existing committee members that is now required to take Spurs to the next level. Gemma Sheppard will remain General Secretary with Graham Friel as treasurer and John Porter as press officer.
